Brand Your Health Coach Business
This is one of the most important steps in setting up your health coach business. Whether you have a new business or an old business that needs some direction, stop whatever you are doing and give your brand some attention.
Branding Worksheet:
- What is your specialization and business focus?
- Who does your focus appeal to?
- What can you offer this person
- What is your special talent?
- What do you want to be known for?
- Why are you a health coach?
- What is your story?
- What is your style? Are you exotic, casual, professional, modern, classic?
- What is your client’s style?
- How can your style come together with your client’s?
- A value statement, slogan or very brief statement that speaks to your client and says what you offer and they want….
- Have you written your elevator speech? You should have one by now. If you do have one, maybe it is time to update it. Make it short and sweet. We work with _______________ who are struggling with _____________.  or  We help ____________ to ____________.
Your elevator speech should state your:
- clients need
- unique offering
- solution
- benefits
Your elevator speech is not only important so that you can state your business, it also clarifies and manifests your purpose in your thoughts.
These are the beginning steps in branding. Further branding strategies will be found in Business Plans for Health Coaches!

Thank you Cathy for this easy, simple and thorough template. I help women, and the smart men who love them, lose weight, manage stress & increase energy so they can look younger, feel sexier & have more FUN!!!
This is the very thing I need to work on. Will use this with great appreciation. Thanks Cathy!
Great worksheet Cathy! I love this “Your elevator speech is not only important so that you can state your business, it also clarifies and manifests your purpose in your thoughts.” Well said.
Great checklist and jumping off point for branding, Cathy. Answering these core questions, before starting any brand visual work (logos, etc.) is so important.
Christie…you know better than most…the visual work is the fun part! Knowing where you are headed sure helps doesn’t it!
A clear, concise and compelling elevator pitch is critical, if not the one most important marketing message to have “down”! There is such a short window of time to capture the attention of the listener. And, always leave them wanting more. Thanks for this.
“I work with women who feel their fatigue and exhaustion is stopping them from reaching their dreams. I fuel their success with clean eating, rejuvenation and bucket-loads of pleasure.” I am clear on this, however still think it needs to be refined for a ‘quicker elevator pitch’
This is such a great worksheet. I work with people to help them troubleshoot and heal their digestive issues and I love what you said about manifesting your mission with your elevator speech. I have always thought about it like this also. My special talent is intuition but I also love inspiring people to persevere in their health journey and supporting them to succeed. So much food for thought in these worksheets. Thanks for the sneak peak.
Angela, I am intuitive too…I bet your intuition helps you a lot when working with clients.
It always amazes me how asking simple questions can really get you in touch what you feel and think. We all think we know, until someone asks us to really think about it. Nice work, Cathy. Great template.
Thanks Hayley, I feel a little introspection can help with almost anything. You are wise to know that. ~Cathy
