I love New Years…the idea of having a fresh start every year thrills me! I make New Years Plans…and sometimes I follow through and sometimes I don’t. It is like everything else, the law of averages is on my side. If I try enough new things…something good happens. To prepare for the New Year, I have to get rid of all the stuff that didn’t work last year. Here are some tips for clearing the way; get busy because we have a lot to do before January 1, 2013!
- Clean out the pantry and the refrigerator.
- Clean out your closet.
- Clear off your desk.
- Get rid of last years calendar.
- Put the Christmas decorations away.
- Give away any furniture pieces that you no longer use or just clutter up your room.
- Throw away any broken or chipped plates or glasses.
- Get rid of the socks with holes.
- Throw away empty bottles, toothpaste tubes, and old makeup in the bathroom.
- Toss any medicines that are out of date.
- Fill your pantry and fridge with healthy foods.
- Have a nice clean 2013 calendar ready to go
- Get a nice fresh clean body brush, toothbrush and tongue scraper for 2013
- Make a plan….schedule everything you wish you would have done in 2012 and did not.
- Clear up any misunderstandings with friends and relatives …start fresh on January 1.

Ah! Me too! Better than a spring clean this year! I’m also going through my digital clutter (pictures, computer programs I don’t use anymore, unsubscribing from mailing lists), and doing a big refresh with my business plan. Great chance to start new!
Good for you Loralee…I just had a strong urge to make a wall calendar and write all over it! It takes a long time to unsubscribe from mailing lists…but you shouldn’t have to do it again for about 5 more years. ~Cathy
I’m tempted to send you pics of mine! I found 2 huge white boards while moving this month & they’re up on my new office wall. They’re temporarily holding space for my 2013 calendar (Leonie Dawsons planner) & lots and lots of scribbles while I analyzed my current business flow (and what tools I was using that worked) and that’s flowing into a “to-do” list of things I need to add to make my customer experience better & business easier to manage during 2013. Want to share pics?
Definitely Loralee! I thought about getting Leonie’s calendar a couple times. Those white boards have to be inspirational! I would love that…or one whole chalk board wall! ~Cathy
